Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Quearney Industries Ltd, trading as Jonathan Quearney, collects and uses your personal information.

What we collect

  • Your name, email address, phone number and postcode, when you request an appointment or message us by email or WhatsApp.
  • Your measurements, fitting notes and style preferences, so we can make for you.
  • Your address, when we visit you or deliver to you.
  • Order and payment details. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see your full card number.
  • How you heard of us, which helps us understand what works.
  • Basic website data through cookies, as set out in the cookie banner. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them.

Why we use it

  • To arrange appointments and visits, and to make and deliver your garments (to carry out our contract with you).
  • To keep your measurements so we can make for you again (our legitimate interest, and yours).
  • To keep records the law requires, such as accounts.
  • To send you news only if you have asked us to. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

  • The makers who produce your garment, who receive your measurements and order details only. Some work outside the UK; where they do, we use appropriate safeguards.
  • Squarespace (our website provider), payment providers, Royal Mail and couriers, Zoom for video calls, WhatsApp (Meta) when you message us there, and Google when you contact us through our Google listing or leave a review.
  • We never sell your information.

How long we keep it

  • Measurements, patterns and fitting notes: while you are a customer, and for 6 years after your last order, so we can make for you again and deal with any questions about your garments.
  • Enquiries and messages that do not lead to an order: 12 months.
  • Order and payment records: 6 years, as required for tax.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it. Email info@jonathanquearney.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
