Bespoke tailor visiting Sevenoaks
Jonathan Quearney is a Savile Row-trained bespoke tailor with a studio on the King’s Road, Chelsea, who comes to customers in Sevenoaks and the villages around it: Westerham, Brasted, Otford, Kemsing, Seal, Weald and Hildenborough, and on to Tonbridge.
Many of our Sevenoaks customers work in the City or the West End. That gives you a choice: the first measure at home in the evening or at the weekend, with the fittings at the studio in Chelsea on a London day, or everything at home. We bring cloth bunches, pattern books and tape, and the first appointment takes about an hour.
Bespoke suits are cut from a pattern drafted for you alone and finished over three fittings, from £4,000. Made-to-measure suits, with two fittings, are from £1,750. Overcoats, dinner jackets, odd jackets, trousers and shirts are made the same way.
What Sevenoaks customers ask for
Most often a navy or grey suit that works hard for several years, an overcoat that goes over it, and a dinner jacket. The cloths we suggest are chosen to hold their shape through a commute and come back from the dry cleaner looking as they should. Every appointment is with Jonathan himself, and we are happy to give you time to understand what is involved and to reflect before you decide to go ahead.
“Best value suit I ever bought. Jonathan made it five years ago and the shape has held better than I expected. Today it still looks nearly like new, good enough to wear to my most important meetings.”

Sevenoaks and the villages around it: Westerham, Brasted, Otford, Kemsing, Seal, Weald, Hildenborough and Tonbridge, and further afield across Kent by arrangement. We come to your home or your office, and many Sevenoaks customers also use the King’s Road studio on a London day.

It takes about an hour and there is no charge. We bring cloth bunches, pattern books and tape, talk about what you want the garment for and how you like to dress, and take your measurements and notes on how you stand and move. You are left with a clear idea of cloth, style and price, and we are happy to give you time to reflect before you decide to go ahead.

Yes. Many customers who commute have the first measure at home and the fittings at the King’s Road studio in Chelsea, or the other way round. A bespoke suit is the first measure and three fittings; made to measure is the first measure and two.
